Chief of Defence Staff (CDS)

The Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) Inter Unit Football Competition was organized this year to foster good relationship amongst personnel. Since the Ebola Outbreak struck Sierra Leone, this was the first event organized by the RSLAF. According to the Commander Joint Force, Brigadier B Sesay, the Competition was organized to strengthen the RSLAF Football Team in a bid to spot talents and recreational motivation to troops, comradeship, Units pride, cohesion and troops interaction platform at all levels.

Also, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Lieutenant General John E Milton in his opening remarks confirmed that he was highly impressed with the sporting activities in the Army, as all works and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

He further maintained that the Military will be engaged in a Volleyball and Boxing Competition for the good ambiance among the able military men. Lieutenant General John E Milton called on friends and well-wishers to give support to the Hockey Pitch Pavilion expansion project as the Military is aspiring to have a self-contained pavilion.

The CDS ended up thanking all those who attended and encouraged them to be attending RSLAG functions.
