MoD/RSLAF HOLDS NEWS CONFERENCE ON ALLEGED EXAMS MALPRACTICE ON 2019/2020 NATIONAL RECRUITMENT AND OTHER MEDIA ISSUES...

WHAT: The Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) is organizing a news conference on several media issues including the recent allegations of exams malpractice on 2019/2020 National Recruitment; monthly salary, rice and fuel supply; social media issues and others.

WHO: The Minister of Defence, Brigadier (Retired) Kellie Hassan Conteh, the Deputy Minister of Defence, Colonel (Retired) Muana Brima Massaquoi, the Director General of Defence, Mr Mohamed Dabor, the Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Brima Sesay and other members of the Senior Management Team will be in attendance? Only a limited number of accredited journalists will be accommodated for the News Conference. Thus, journalists wishing to attend the Conference should contact the Acting Staff Officer Grade 2, Lieutenant Tejan Bangura on +232 30 025 382 to confirm their attendance.

WHEN: The News Conference is scheduled for 2:00pm on Thursday, 27 February, 2020.
WHERE: The Conference will take place at MoD Conference Hall (Down Floor).

WHY: The rationale for the News Conference is to clarify all the INACCURATE and MISLEADING versions that have been making rounds in the mass media in relation to the ongoing exams malpractice on the 2019/2020 National Recruitment; issues of monthly salary, rice and fuel supply; social media issues and other IMPORTANT MoD/RSLAF activities and issues worth reporting.
