BACKGROUND
Brig-Gen Tamba Rodnic Allieu was born on the 1 September 1961 in a town of Gandorhun, Gbaneh Chiefdom, Kono District. He attended the United Methodist Church Primary School and Koidu Secondary School where he sat to the West African General Certificate of Education Examination Ordinary Level (GCE-O level) in 1977. He proceeded to the Milton Margai Teachers College where he graduated with a Division 11 in Business Studies, major in Accounting in 1982. He was employed by the Mobil Oil (SL) Ltd as Accounting Supervisor from 1982 to 1985. He was enlisted into the Sierra Leone Armed Forces as Officer Cadet on 6 March 1986, and was commissioned on 30 October 1987 as Second Lieutenant. He rose through the ranks to Brigadier- General.

1979 to 1982 - HTC Div II in Business Studies, Major in Accounting
                      at the Milton Margai Teachers College
1983 to 1984 - Foundation A & B ACCA.

                      in the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

                      Nigerian Defence College in Abuja, Nigeria.

February to June 2015 - Assistant Chief of Defence Staff Personnel and Training
2014 to 2015 - Sector Kismayo Commander (Multi-National Sector)
                       in the Africa Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM).
                      Commanding the Kenyan, Burundian and Sierra Leonean Contingents.
Jan to Mar 2013 - Director of Defence Intelligence and Security,
                      responsible to the Assistant Chief of Defence Staff Operations and Plans.
2010 to 2011 - Director of Defence Training and Recruitment,
                      responsible to the Assistant Chief of Defence Staff Personnel and Training.
2009 to 2010 - Chief of Staff (COS) at the Headquarters Joint Force Command (HQ JFC).
                      Principal Staff Officer to the Commander Joint Force (CJF)
2008 to 2009 - Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) HQ JFC,
                      responsible to the Commander Joint Force (CJF) for all Logistics matters.
2006 to 2007 - Commander 4 Infantry Brigade in Makeni.
2005 to 2006 - Commanding Officer of the Benguema Training Centre.
2002             - Chief Instructor Benguema Training Centre
2001 to 2002 - Commanding Officer 9 Infantry Battalion.
2000 to 2001 - Brigade Major (Chief of Staff) 2 Brigade in Makeni
1997 to 1998 - Commanding Officer 18 Battalion in Kenema.
1995 to 1996 - Commanding Officer 38 Battalion in Koribondo.



INTERNATIONAL AND REGIONAL PEACE KEEPING OPERATIONS
2014 to 2015 - Sector Commander for a Multi-National Force in AMISOM Operation
                      (Sector Kismayo) in Somalia.
2013 to 2014 - Chief Training Officer at AMISOM Headquarters.
1990             - Platoon Commander in ECOMOG Operations in Liberia.


HONORS AND AWARDS SO FAR GAIN INCLUDE
2014 - AMISOM Medal in Somalia.
2013 - Good Conduct and Meritorious Service in the RSLAF
                      awarded by HE the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma
1993 - Gallantry Award for bravery in the Rebel War against the RUF.
1990 - ECOMOG Medal in Liberia.


WORKING EXPERIENCE
Thirty-Two (32) years working experience in the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF).
