United Council of Imams

Meeting the CDS, Dr Habib Mohamed Sheriff who happens to be the President of the United Council of Imams congratulated the CDS for his attainment to the rank of Lieutenant General. He pleaded with the CDS for their late response ever since he took his new office. Dr Habib furthered that the purpose of their visit was to get acquainted with the CDS and to thank him for taking good care of Muslims.

He concluded by informing the CDS about the changes in the executive of which he is the head base on certain prerequisite set. He added that his appointment was a unanimous decision and such momentum led him to extend gratitude to the CDS.

Responding to the team of Imams, the CDS welcomed the entourage and expressed an overwhelming satisfaction over their visit. He confirmed with the entourage that the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) is a diversified Force with high discipline and religious tolerance. Lieutenant General John E Milton assured the team that the RSLAF will always give its support to the Muslims and concluded by thanking them for their visit.

The entire visit was climaxed with prayers (duhau).
